On the map above, you will find the streets and parks of the Historic Downtown area. Notice that some of the blocks have a colored dot within them. The BLUE dots indicate local restaurants, the RED dot shows you where the Visitor Center is located, and the YELLOW dot is the Waycross/Ware County Chamber of Commerce. The Downtown Restaurants incude: KD's Cafe, which is a local favorite for lunch, Andrew's Bar and Grill, The Downtown Sandwich Shoppe, Pondview Downtown serves the best fine cuisine in the south, and Twin Earth Cafe will be open for business within the year. Come and enjoy an afternoon stroll and visit a few boutiques along the way, or take a walk to Plant Park where you can cool off in the fountain mist. If you are here in the Fall, you may be able to catch the Thanksgiving/Christmas Parade and the decorated scarecrows & pumpkins around town. If you visit in the Spring, we welcome you to join us for the Swamp Fest activities throughout the area.
