April Fool's Rod Run April
2008- The biggest annual event in Waycross, the April Fool's Rod Run brings in thousands of all ages. Everything from Model T's to foreign sports cars can be seen at this show. Shriner's All-night Gospel Sing – June 2008 -This
all-night gospel sing is filled with talent from all over the Southeast.

Jaycee's Fourth of July
Celebration - July 4, 2008 - Every year, on the 4th of July, the Waycross Jaycee's celebrate with music, food, and fireworks at Memorial Stadium,
located on US 1/Memorial Drive. People from all over the area come to
enjoy live entertainment and activities for the whole family at the stadium. The grand finale of the evening is a fireworks show usually beginning around 9pm.
The fireworks display can be seen from almost anywhere in town if you
happen to be passing through. |

comes to town on a big red fire truck and each year we celebrate his arrival
with a huge parade through Historic Downtown. The parade includes the
familiar faces of the Pogo Possum, Chic-Fil-A Cow, Shoney Bear, and of
course the sounds of the Ware County High School Golden Gator Marching Band.
Bring your jackets and enjoy watching the beautifully decorated floats made
by our local business and churches, leading up to the children's favorite...

Waresboro Mudbog - Monthly Event,
"Nascar - 500 miles in 3 hours, NHRA - 1/4 mile in 3 seconds, Waresboro Mudbog
- 200 feet...if you're lucky!" is the motto of this sporting event. Trucks
and Rail Cars from all over South Georgia and North Florida come to
Waresboro on the 3rd Saturday of each month to race on a dual track. One
side is flat for consistency racing; the other is deep with mud for some
intense bogging. Gates open at 2pm, race begins at 4pm. Concessions are
served on both sides of the track.
